'Jinro' Sells 1.5 Billion Bottles Cumulatively in 4 Years

HiteJinro's toad soju 'Jinro' has surpassed 1.5 billion bottles in cumulative sales just four years after its launch.

HiteJinro announced on the 26th that Jinro, celebrating its 4th anniversary this year, exceeded 1.5 billion bottles in cumulative sales as of the 10th. This means it is being sold at a rate of 12 bottles per second.


According to HiteJinro, during the past year of recovery in the entertainment market (May 2022 to April 2023), Jinro's sales in entertainment channels increased by about 11% compared to the same period last year. In particular, HiteJinro renewed Jinro’s ‘Zero Sugar’ in January and launched the ‘Jinro Pink Edition’ in February. After the release of the Pink Edition, Jinro’s sales in March increased by 9% compared to the previous month.


HiteJinro plans to strengthen marketing activities that resonate with the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) this year as well. HiteJinro is conducting a nationwide tour of Korea’s first liquor character shop, ‘Dukkeobsanghoe’. In January, the 14th popup store ‘Dukkeobsanghoe Gangnam’ attracted 120,000 visitors, marking the highest number of visitors ever, and since its first opening in 2020, the cumulative number of visitors has reached 450,000. Going forward, Dukkeobsanghoe will operate in line with special seasons to engage with consumers.
