On the 25th, the two companies announced at the SK Gas headquarters in Pangyo that they had agreed to establish a strategic partnership to expedite the conversion of diesel 1-ton trucks used by Namyang Dairy Products and its dealerships into eco-friendly LPG 1-ton trucks.
Under this agreement, SK Gas will support Namyang Dairy Products in smoothly transitioning to eco-friendly LPG 1-ton trucks through various promotions and events, including LPG refueling discounts, and will actively collaborate with Namyang Dairy Products through continuous promotional activities.
Namyang Dairy Products plans to convert approximately 2,300 of its currently operated 1-ton trucks to the new LPG 1-ton trucks scheduled for release in December and gradually expand this transition. Compared to electric trucks, these LPG trucks offer greater refueling convenience, and compared to diesel, they are expected to reduce fine dust emissions and fuel costs.
The new LPG 1-ton trucks, set to be launched at the end of this year, will address all the shortcomings of existing trucks, which only produce low-output and manual transmission models with limited usability.
Yoon Byung-seok, CEO of SK Gas, said, "We consider it very encouraging that the two companies are joining forces to become the first case of transitioning to low-emission vehicles," adding, "We will spare no effort to support increasing the conversion rate to eco-friendly LPG 1-ton trucks through more active collaboration in the future."
Kim Seung-eon, CEO of Namyang Dairy Products, stated, "We are pleased to lead the introduction of low-emission vehicles together with SK Gas, a comprehensive eco-friendly energy solutions company," and added, "We will devote ourselves to fulfilling corporate social responsibility with the goal of more mature ESG (environmental, social, and governance) management and win-win growth with our dealerships."
