Studio Santa Claus is gaining momentum. Following the news that Netflix plans to invest around 3 trillion won in K-content, Studio Santa Claus, which produced the Netflix original drama 'My Name,' is drawing attention.
As of 9:46 AM on the 25th, Studio Santa Claus is trading at 841 won, up 10.08% from the previous trading day.
On the 24th (local time), President Yoon Suk-yeol held his first official schedule during his state visit to the United States by meeting with Ted Sarandos, co-CEO of Netflix.
At the meeting, Sarandos, Netflix CEO, stated, "Over the next four years, we will invest $2.5 billion (approximately 3.3 trillion won) in Korean dramas, movies, reality shows, and other K-content," adding, "Netflix had faith in the Korean creative industry and decided to invest because we believe Korea will continue to tell great stories."
A representative from Studio Santa Claus said, "We are striving to provide a wide range of content through various films and dramas prepared for 2023," and added, "In particular, we will actively proceed with business by expanding production, distribution, and secondary rights sectors."
