Dongwha Pharm Selects Lee Sang-hoon, Director of Ojeong Mental Health Clinic, as Recipient of 'Yoon Do-jun Medical Award'

Dongwha Pharmaceutical and the Korean Neuropsychiatric Association jointly announced on the 25th that Lee Sang-hoon, director of Oh Mental Health Clinic, was selected as the recipient of the 8th Yoon Do-jun Medical Award and was presented the award at the Korean Neuropsychiatric Association Spring Academic Conference held at Lotte Hotel Seoul on the 20th.

Director Lee Sang-hoon was recognized for his significant contributions to the advancement of neuropsychiatry in Korea while serving as the president of the Korean Society of Mental Health Psychiatry. He was actively involved in promoting public mental health, fostering camaraderie among members, and enhancing their rights, which led to his selection as the award recipient. Director Lee has also worked to dispel prejudices against psychiatric treatment, improve the fee system for psychotherapy among private mental health practitioners, expand the installation of safety facilities, and raise public awareness about the rights of people with mental disabilities to receive treatment.

Director Lee expressed his gratitude, saying, “I am pleased and thankful to receive this award, which I believe is an encouragement to further dedicate myself to the development of neuropsychiatry in Korea and the promotion of public mental health.”

Director Lee graduated from Hanyang University College of Medicine in 1991 and currently operates Oh Mental Health Clinic in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. He has served as president of the Korean Society of Mental Health Psychiatry and also held the position of president of the Yeongdeungpo-gu Medical Association in Seoul.

The Yoon Do-jun Medical Award was established in 2016 by Yoon Do-jun, chairman of Dongwha Pharmaceutical and a specialist in neurology and psychiatry, together with the Korean Neuropsychiatric Association to honor members who have contributed to the advancement of psychiatry in Korea. Chairman Yoon previously served as head of the Department of Psychiatry at Kyung Hee University Medical Center, chief professor of the Department of Neuropsychiatry, chairman of the Korean Society of Psychopharmacology, and executive director of the Korean Neuropsychiatric Association. He currently serves as vice chairman of the Seoul Chamber of Commerce and Industry and chairman of the Gasong Foundation.
