June 1-2 at Changwon Convention Center
On-site hiring: Up to 6.6 million KRW wage support per person
The 2023 Gyeongnam Tourism Job Fair will be held from June 1 to 2 at the Changwon Convention Center (CECO).
The Gyeongnam Tourism Foundation's Tourism Enterprise Support Center announced on the 21st that this recruitment event was organized to support the local tourism industry, which is struggling to secure manpower in response to the recovering travel demand with the With-Corona era.
According to the foundation, about 20 tourism companies from the province are expected to participate in the event.
Eligible participating companies include tourism businesses located in the province, companies residing in the Tourism Enterprise Support Center, and companies operating businesses with tourism-related items.
During the event, there will be ▲recruitment and job counseling ▲employment support programs ▲information provision on the tourism industry.
Companies wishing to participate must submit an application form to the Gyeongnam Tourism Enterprise Support Center by May 16.
If a company hires Gyeongnam residents as employees at the job fair, it will receive support of 1.8 million KRW per month for up to two employees for two months per company.
If the hired employee continues to work for more than five months and becomes a regular employee, the company will receive an additional 3 million KRW.
This event is open to any residents who wish to seek jobs in the tourism sector or are interested in employment in the tourism field.
Job seekers can apply for interviews by referring to the announcements on the Gyeongnam Tourism Enterprise Support Center website, and interviews will be supported through priority matching with companies. Visitors to the site will also receive benefits such as prize giveaways.
A foundation official said, “This will be an open meeting place that can meet the recruitment and job-seeking demands for both future local talents dreaming of employment in tourism companies and local tourism companies.” He added, “We expect the event to be a great opportunity for companies to hire talented personnel in a timely manner and for job seekers to receive quality employment information.”
