Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do, held an entrance ceremony for the first batch of nine trainees in the ‘Yeonggwang-type K-Drone Job Creation Project’ to train drone specialists.
According to the county on the 21st, this training is aimed at unemployed job seekers, vulnerable employment groups, and middle-aged and older job seekers, providing practical education necessary for employment and entrepreneurship, including theory and safety training, small drone operation and practical flight training, and advanced education in drone manufacturing, maintenance, and coding.
The first batch of training will run for 6 weeks (a total of 240 hours), 8 hours a day, until the 29th of next month, and the training fee is completely free.
In particular, to address the issue of not receiving prompt maintenance services in case of drone defects or crashes, professional drone maintenance personnel will be trained through drone assembly and disassembly education, expecting the creation of sustainable convergence-type jobs.
A county official said, “Drones are increasingly used in various fields such as education, pest control, surveying, and marine activities,” adding, “We will do our best to ensure this training contributes to creating high value-added good jobs.”
The recruitment for the second batch of trainees is scheduled for next month, and for more details, inquiries can be made to the Yeonggwang Drone Association.
