On the 20th, Kang Jun-seok, President of Busan Port Authority, conducted a special safety inspection of the Gamcheon Port area, security facilities, and the general pier expansion construction site.
President Kang toured the Gamcheon Port West Pier and Central Pier, checking whether safety regulations at the cargo handling sites, such as the placement of guides during forklift operation, were being followed, and encouraged the on-site workers.
He then visited the general pier expansion construction site near Piers 3 and 4 at Gamcheon Port to inspect whether safety rules were being observed during concrete pouring work and whether signalmen were properly assigned, ensuring no safety negligence.
This expansion project involves constructing a new pier near Piers 3 and 4 at Gamcheon Port to secure an alternative pier capable of continuously handling general cargo in line with the redevelopment of Busan Port North Port.
