‘Schumacher Plus’ Myeongdong Branch Surpasses 600 Million KRW Monthly Sales in Short Period Through ‘Differentiation’

The new type of shoe multi-store "Shoemaker Plus" launched by Shoemaker in Myeongdong has recorded monthly sales of 600 million KRW in a short period since its opening.

A Shoemaker representative stated, "'Shoemaker Plus' Myeongdong store opened on December 23 last year and recorded sales of 230 million KRW within one week. It has continued steady growth and recently achieved monthly sales of 600 million KRW."

This is analyzed to be due to proactive investment in the Myeongdong area and the introduction of a new type of multi-shoe store that could not be seen in the existing Shoemaker stores, offering various products and unique content that attracted consumers' attention.

"Shoemaker Plus" Myeongdong store provides baggage services for tourists to continue regional characteristics and additional growth, and has created service application forms in various languages such as English, Chinese, Japanese, and Southeast Asian languages, greatly enhancing convenience for tourists in the Myeongdong commercial district.

Additionally, "Shoemaker Plus" is a premium store with diversity and rationality in shopping, featuring global sports brands such as Nike, Adidas, New Balance, which were not available in existing Shoemaker stores, as well as in-house brands like Cloud Zero, Weber, HoneyApril, Marcus, and Mitsu. It also applies the Smart Order Tracking System (SOTS) to further increase satisfaction among domestic and international consumers.

In particular, it is the industry's first to house the French specialized insole brand SIDAS, where customers can receive personalized insole production and free measurement services through foot masters, and global leading trail running brands such as Hoka One One and Salomon recommend running shoes tailored to individual foot shapes.

The industry says that various contents providing special experiences to consumers will be the driving force for explosive growth in the future.

Starting with the "Shoemaker Plus" Myeongdong store, which achieved the highest performance in a short period, the company aims to open two flagship stores in major Seoul commercial districts and four large shopping malls in the metropolitan area this year, focusing on product strength and content to achieve annual sales of 13 billion KRW across a total of seven stores.
