Air Busan is conducting a customized training program called the 'Dream Academy' for local youth aspiring to work in the aviation industry to nurture regional aviation personnel and foster the aviation industry.
The Air Busan Dream Academy is a part of the Air Busan 'Dream Campus' program, created jointly by Air Busan, Busan City, and the Busan Economic Promotion Agency to cultivate aviation professionals in Busan in anticipation of the opening of the Gaduk New Airport in 2029.
The training period runs from May 2 to June 1, with a total of 40 hours of education held at the Air Busan headquarters.
This annual program will be conducted twice a year, in the first and second halves, with lectures covering all job categories within the airline sequentially. In the first recruitment, 15 participants will be selected, and another 15 in the second recruitment scheduled for the second half of this year, totaling 30 trainees.
The application period for the first Dream Academy is until 2 PM on the 27th.
The training includes lectures and practical sessions on each job role such as ▲Understanding aircraft systems and flight regulations (Flight) ▲Understanding flight control (Flight Control) ▲Cabin crew duties and in-flight announcements and service practice (Cabin) ▲Aircraft operation maintenance (Maintenance) ▲Understanding sales and airport service reservation and ticketing procedures (Sales) ▲Ground handling equipment and handling procedures (Airport Ground Staff).
Additionally, to enhance the trainees' employment competitiveness, the instructors will be composed of Air Busan employees who will deliver practical and useful content from the field.
An Air Busan official stated, “Until last year, we have trained over 400 prospective aviation professionals through this program, and many graduates have praised the practical training for greatly helping their job preparation.”
He added, “This year, we will provide training to about 160 aviation talents, contributing to bridging the educational gap between the metropolitan area and regions, leading the development of aviation talent, and fulfilling the role and responsibility of a regional airline.”
