Busan Gijang-gun Implements 'National Great Transition Intensive Safety Inspection'... Prioritizing Residents' Safety

Busan Gijang-gun is conducting the "National Great Transition Intensive Safety Inspection" for 61 days from the 17th of last month to June 16th to enhance disaster prevention and safety awareness.


This inspection is a preventive activity in which central government ministries, local governments, public institutions, and all citizens participate to check and improve the overall safety management status of society.


Gijang-gun has prioritized the safety of its residents as the main focus of this inspection and will inspect 88 major sites divided into seven sectors by facility: ▲Living and Leisure ▲Environment and Energy ▲Health, Welfare, and Food ▲Building Facilities ▲Industry and Construction Sites ▲Transportation Facilities ▲Others.


In addition, to encourage residents' participation in the intensive safety inspection and raise safety awareness, various activities such as ▲distribution of voluntary safety inspection checklists ▲installation of banners ▲promotion through banners on the Gijang-gun website will be carried out.

On the 19th at 2 p.m., Jeong Jong-bok, the head of Gijang-gun, visited the "Bulgwangsan Neighborhood Park Suspension Bridge (Leisure Facility)" and conducted an on-site inspection to prevent safety accidents ahead of the peak season.


Jeong said, "It is necessary to thoroughly inspect the facilities so that visitors can enjoy and use the representative tourist attractions of Gijang-gun comfortably and safely," and added, "Please ensure thorough follow-up measures such as repair and reinforcement of facilities to secure the safety of Gijang residents and tourists."
