The Young Startup Farmers’ Farming Settlement Support Project provides settlement funds for up to three years.

Support amounts vary by year: 1.1 million KRW for the first year of independent management, 1 million KRW for the second year, and 900,000 KRW for the third year. The funds can be used for farm management expenses and general funds.

Since 2018, the county has selected over 150 young startup farmers who are actively engaged in various agricultural fields such as grains, vegetables, fruit trees, and livestock, as well as in the sixth industry sectors including processing, distribution, and experiential activities.

Various programs will also be operated to facilitate smooth entry into agricultural management through customized management diagnosis and analysis consulting, informatization education, and club support projects.

Additionally, support projects such as building a foundation for young startups, agricultural product processing and commercialization, distribution marketing, loan support for farmland purchase and farming facility installation are helping to establish a farming self-reliance foundation. A smart farm complex will be established and leased to young farmers who need an agricultural base.

Hyun Haeng-yeol, director of the Gochang Agricultural Technology Center, said, “We will do our best to operate programs tailored to young farmers to support talented young farmers in Gochang to settle stably and nurture them as next-generation farming leaders with professional management capabilities.”
