According to the county on the 17th, the county’s first youth store was established to discover and support young people’s creative business ideas and to develop content that reflects local characteristics.
‘Youth 1st Street,’ managed by the Gochang Youth Policy Council, is located in an unused county-owned building within Seonunsa Provincial Park.
‘Youth 1st Street’ sells various beverages and desserts such as bokbunja ade, flower tea, barley coffee, peanut bread made using Gochang agricultural products, as well as seasonal agricultural products.
In the future, they plan to sell youth gift sets composed of processed products directly produced by young people.
They also plan to expand online sales by implementing thorough promotional strategies such as participating in local markets, developing products linked to local festivals, and SNS marketing.
The county expects ‘Youth 1st Street’ to pioneer new distribution channels for local agricultural products by providing various agricultural and specialty products more conveniently to local consumers and tourists.
County Governor Shim Deok-seop said, “I hope it becomes a landmark that tourists visiting Gochang seek out, and through this, a city where young people return with dreams and hopes.”
