‘For a Safe Commute to School!’ … Ulleung Police Station Inspects Child Protection Zones

On the 14th, the Ulleung Police Station in Gyeongbuk held a periodic meeting regarding the comprehensive maintenance and facility improvements of school zones.

This was to establish safety measures on roads frequently used by children, such as in front of Ulleung Elementary School, following a recent drunk driving traffic accident in a school zone in Daejeon.

Ulleung Police Station held an inter-agency meeting for the comprehensive maintenance of school zones.

The meeting was attended by Ulleung County Office, Ulleung Education Support Office, and the Green Mothers' Association to discuss countermeasures.

Kim Dong-hyeok, Chief of Ulleung Police Station, said, "Let us participate in traffic safety activities to protect children on their way to and from elementary school and make Ulleung Island safe for children."
