US FAA Approves SpaceX Starship Launch

Flight Target as Early as the 17th

SpaceX's spacecraft 'Starship' has received approval from authorities for an Earth orbit test flight.


According to foreign media on the 15th (local time), the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved the launch for Starship's test flight on the 14th.


SpaceX stated, "Starship, the world's largest and most powerful rocket, aims to take off as early as the 17th."

Earlier, on the 7th, the FAA set the tentative launch window for Starship from 7 to 11 a.m. on the 17th, with backup launch dates from the 18th to the 21st.


Starship has a total length of 120 meters, and the Starship spacecraft is 50 meters long. Both the rocket and the spacecraft are designed to be reusable. After flying in Earth orbit for 90 minutes, it will land in the Pacific Ocean near Kauai Island, Hawaii.
