OB Beer announced on the 14th that it will provide 150,000 cans of disaster relief 'OB Water' directly produced for vulnerable groups in drought-affected areas.
OB Beer will deliver 150,000 cans of OB Water to drought-stricken areas and vulnerable groups nationwide through Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association, a specialized disaster relief organization. The vulnerable groups receiving this OB Water include low-income households facing water shortages in Jeonbuk and Gyeongnam regions severely affected by drought, as well as water-deficient low-income groups in Gangwon, drought-affected farmers, disaster victims, people with disabilities, homeless individuals, and elderly living alone.
OB Water is a 355mL canned product produced 100% for disaster relief by OB Beer and can be used as drinking water. It is made by adding a small amount of carbonation to purified water using existing beer factory facilities. It is produced safely and cleanly through the rigorous purification process of beer brewing and sensory inspections by inspectors.
OB Beer plans to additionally support OB Water to the Gwangju region, which is severely affected by drought, and intends to temporarily halt beer production lines annually to produce OB Water for donation to disaster relief. An OB Beer representative said, "We want to offer some support to those suffering from drought and wildfire damage across the country," adding, "We will continue to put more effort into fulfilling our corporate social responsibility as a member of the local community."
