Due to Persistent High Inflation... Homeplus Sees a Surge in PB Sales

Homeplus Signature Sales Up 36%

Amid the recent persistent high inflation, sales of private brand (PB) products at Homeplus have significantly increased.


According to Homeplus on the 14th, sales of PB Homeplus Signature from January to March this year rose by 36% compared to the previous year. In particular, yogurt sales surged more than sevenfold, while cheese, butter, and snacks increased by over 330% and 220%, respectively.


The number of customers in their 20s purchasing PB products increased by 21%, and sales jumped by 44%. Compared to other age groups, they bought more zero-calorie cola, cider, yogurt, bottled water, frozen fruits, and ice cream.

Meanwhile, Homeplus is holding the ‘Black Day with Signature’ event until the 19th, offering up to 50% discounts and buy-one-get-one-free promotions on event products.


A Homeplus representative said, “Our strategy to promote high-quality PB products sold exclusively at Homeplus to encourage reasonable consumption in response to rising prices has been effective,” adding, “We will expand online promotions based on product competitiveness to lead distribution trends.”
