The county conducted a full survey of accommodation facilities and completed reservations for accommodations with city and county offices as well as Gyeongbuk Provincial associations. During the festival, 365 volunteers were recruited to support spectators and athletes. Additionally, on April 7, a volunteer launch ceremony was held along with basic etiquette and job training, officially commencing volunteer operations.

Among the 30 sports events of this festival, 24 events will be held in Uljin, and renovations and repairs of the Uljin Sports Complex and other sports venues have been completed, finishing all preparations for the smooth conduct of the games.

To ensure smooth traffic flow, roads around the Uljin Sports Complex will be operated as one-way streets on the day of the opening ceremony, and shuttle buses will be provided to allow spectators to comfortably reach the venue.

Starting with the eve event to pray for the success of the festival on April 20, various cultural and artistic performances such as art and photography exhibitions and the musical ‘Gayo Top Ten’ will be held. During the festival period, 23 city and county agricultural specialty product exhibition booths and experience booths will be operated at the Uljin Sports Complex, providing attractions and entertainment.

County Governor Son Byeong-bok instructed, “With the 61st Gyeongbuk Provincial Sports Festival just around the corner, please concentrate all administrative capabilities,” and added, “We will thoroughly prepare to welcome guests so that Uljin County can be a place visitors want to return to, leaving them with good memories.”
