Fire at a Shipyard in Busan at Dawn, 1 Night Guard Dead and 2 Evacuated

A fire broke out in a shipyard building in Yeongdo-gu, Busan, resulting in the death of a male security guard in his 50s, while two others working with him evacuated.

According to the Yeongdo Police Station in Busan, at around 3:55 a.m. on the 8th, a fire of unknown cause occurred in the security office on the first floor of the main building of a shipyard in Bongnae-dong.

As a result of the incident, among the three security guards on night duty, Mr. A died, and the other two escaped the scene. The fire burned the first and second floors and was completely extinguished by the fire department, which arrived at 8:25 a.m.

The police plan to investigate the cause of the fire after conducting an on-site inspection in cooperation with the fire department.
