Goheung-gun Launches Fair Price 'Price Stabilization Campaign'

Unfair Charges, Unfair Trade, and Use of Good Price Businesses

Gongyeongmin, the governor of Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do, announced on April 7 that more than 30 participants, including public officials, market merchant members, and price monitoring personnel, conducted a price stabilization campaign under the slogan "Fair Prices, Wise Consumption" around Goheung-eup Bus Terminal and Goheung Traditional Market.

This campaign aims to create an atmosphere of collective participation in stabilizing local prices by focusing on refraining from raising product prices and using fair-priced stores, as the recent continuous price increases have intensified difficulties for local residents.

The main contents of the campaign include, for business operators, ▲ refraining from excessive price increases of products ▲ compliance with origin labeling, and for consumers, ▲ using local products and traditional markets ▲ using fair-priced stores, all related to price stabilization and the establishment of sound commercial order and consumption culture.

A county official urged, "As this is a difficult economic time due to the recent sharp rise in prices, we ask both sellers and consumers to participate together in price stabilization by using traditional markets and refraining from unreasonable price increases."

In addition, a promotional campaign was conducted to encourage both small business owners and consumers to join and use Jeollanam-do’s public delivery app, "Meokkebi."

To apply for Meokkebi franchise stores, search "Jeonnam Public Delivery App" in a portal site search bar, apply through the Meokkebi website, or apply via the Meokkebi customer center. Consumers can also download the app, sign up as members, and search for local franchise stores to use the service.
