Simplified Inauguration Ceremony Due to By-Election Without Preparation Period

Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongnam Province held the inauguration ceremony of the 55th County Governor Seong Nak-in on the 6th at the county office's main conference room.

Due to the nature of the by-election with no preparation period and considering the recent economic downturn caused by rising prices and interest rates, the inauguration ceremony was held simply without inviting guests, minimizing formalities.

Governor Seong paid respects at the Chung Hon Tower in the morning and took the oath of office during the inauguration ceremony, where he also presented the future direction of county administration.

In his inaugural address, Governor Seong expressed his ambition, stating, "I will realize a prosperous Changnyeong through the implementation of five major pledges: fostering the Changnyeong-type health healing industry belt, promoting the revival project of Changnyeong-eup traditional market, improving and expanding convenience facilities for socially vulnerable groups, establishing a children's hospital within Changnyeong-gun, and opening eco-friendly park golf courses by region."

After the inauguration ceremony, he visited the Changnyeong County Council and began his first official schedule by receiving reports on major county administration issues.

Governor Seong graduated from the Graduate School of Public Administration at Gyeongnam National University. He has served in public office for 34 years, including positions such as Director of the Upo Wetland Management Office, Director of Environmental Sanitation Division, Director of Culture and Sports Division, Mayor of Changnyeong-eup, and Mayor of Daehap-myeon. He also served as a member of the 11th and 12th Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Assembly.
