Acrin Gel contains 2% salicylic acid (BHA) and tea tree oil, which can help with exfoliation and soothing millet acne, whiteheads, and blackheads. Dong-A Pharmaceutical explained that the tube-type gel formulation allows for hygienic use and easy storage. It is available as an over-the-counter drug at pharmacies, and after washing the face, an appropriate amount should be applied to the affected area twice a day.
Dong-A Pharmaceutical previously launched Noscana, an acne scar treatment, in 2013, and Aknon Cream, an inflammatory acne treatment, in 2020. With the release of Acrin Gel, the company has established a lineup of acne treatments that can systematically manage non-inflammatory acne, inflammatory acne, and acne scars.
A representative from Dong-A Pharmaceutical said, "We have launched Acrin Gel, specialized for non-inflammatory acne, which can be used together with Aknon Cream, a topical acne treatment, for consumers troubled by acne," adding, "We hope that consumers can effectively resolve their acne symptoms with the two-solution acne treatment lineup of Acrin and Aknon."
