Gyeonggi-do Human Rights Center, Mobile Human Rights Counseling Until September

Gyeonggi-do Human Rights Center, Mobile Human Rights Counseling Until September Gyeonggi Provincial Government Gwanggyo New Office Building

The Gyeonggi-do Human Rights Center will conduct 'Visiting Human Rights Consultations' from April to September at 20 social welfare facilities and public institutions within the province.

The visit targets include 13 locations where human rights violations and discriminatory acts appeared to have occurred, based on survey responses from social welfare facilities earlier this year, and 7 public institutions in the province that have failed to meet the mandatory employment of persons with disabilities.

Through these visits and consultations, the Human Rights Center will determine whether employment discrimination has occurred and develop improvement measures.

For social welfare facilities, the center will review survey responses and conduct individual interviews with staff to examine human rights violations and discriminatory acts, while for public institutions, consultations with hiring managers will be held to devise improvement plans for fulfilling the mandatory employment of persons with disabilities.

Furthermore, the center will carry out 'Visiting Human Rights Consultations' where specialized personnel from the center directly visit organizations or social welfare facilities that request consultations.

A representative from the Gyeonggi-do Human Rights Center stated, "Starting this year, we will expand the 'Visiting Human Rights Consultations' to listen closely to voices from the field," adding, "We will strive to establish effective remedies to enhance the human rights of social welfare facility workers and create practical improvement measures to increase the mandatory employment rate of persons with disabilities in public institutions."
