Charles III Visiting Germany Politely Declines
Recently, King Charles III of the United Kingdom visited Germany, where he politely declined a 'paper crown' gift from a German citizen, drawing attention.
On the 4th (local time), according to foreign media such as the US 'New York Post' and the UK 'Mirror', Charles III smiled and declined a paper Burger King crown gift handed to him by a German supporter at Wittenbergplatz in Berlin, Germany. King Charles III and his wife visited Germany for three days starting from the 29th of last month.

In a video capturing the moment, King Charles III greeted supporters who filled the square one by one. Among them, several supporters were wearing paper crowns made by the American fast-food company 'Burger King'. Especially when one supporter offered the paper crown to Charles III, saying "a gift for Your Majesty," he smiled and replied, "That's okay."
This is not the first time the British royal family has received a Burger King crown from supporters. On the 7th of last month, Queen Camilla, wife of Charles III, also received a paper crown gift from supporters in Colchester, UK.
Unlike King Charles III, who politely declined the gift, Queen Camilla accepted the paper crown and said, "Oh, how lovely. That's very kind." The video was posted on the video platform 'TikTok' and received over 70,000 likes.

Meanwhile, King Charles III will hold his coronation with Queen Camilla at Westminster Abbey in London on the 6th of next month. This will mark the coronation eight months after his accession, following the death of Queen Elizabeth II last year.
The coronation is traditionally held several months after a new monarch ascends the throne and is conducted after thorough preparations. Queen Elizabeth II's coronation was also held in June 1953, 14 months after her accession.
