The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Chairman Kim Jong-ho, hereinafter referred to as Kibo) announced on the 5th that it plans to conduct the Technology Credit Evaluator qualification examination three times this year to train professionals specialized in technology finance.
The first exam this year is the Level 3 Technology Credit Evaluator qualification test, which will be held on May 27 in Seoul, Daejeon, Busan, and Gwangju. Applications will be accepted online through the Technology Credit Evaluator qualification site from April 24 to May 8. Successful candidates will be announced on June 12.
A Technology Credit Evaluator is a professional appraiser who conducts technology evaluations on intangible assets such as specialized technologies or intellectual property held by companies, as well as credit evaluations on overall credit and financial status, and calculates these into grades or amounts.
Technology Credit Evaluators hold a professional qualification that allows banks to conduct their own evaluations, and demand continues to increase mainly in the financial sector. Since its introduction in 2016, a total of 5,510 Technology Credit Evaluators have been produced, including 54 at Level 1, 1,021 at Level 2, and 4,435 at Level 3.
