Yeonggwang-gun Conducts Civil Defense Group and Cyber Training

Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kang Jong-man) announced on the 4th that the 2023 Civil Defense training will be conducted in two formats?group training and cyber training?according to the civil defense service year to enhance the emergency response capabilities of civil defense members.

With the normalization of civil defense training this year after temporary reductions due to COVID-19, ▲ members in their 1st to 2nd year must complete 4 hours of group training, ▲ members in their 3rd to 4th year must complete 2 hours of cyber training, and ▲ members with 5 or more years must complete 1 hour of cyber training.

The group training for the first half of the year will be held at the Small Theater of Yeonggwang Culture and Arts Center on the 10th, 11th, and 13th, with two sessions per day.

The morning session runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the afternoon session from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Detailed training schedules and locations can be checked on the National Disaster Safety Portal or the Safe Stepping Stone app, and attendees must bring their ID cards.

The cyber training will be conducted from the 17th until June 30th. Participants can access the training by clicking the link in the electronic notification or by searching for Digital Civil Defense Training, watch the training videos, take the test, and upon scoring 70 or above, the training will be considered completed.

A county official stated, “We expect this training to enhance the emergency response capabilities and safety awareness of civil defense members,” adding, “Failure to complete the civil defense training may result in fines and other disadvantages, so we ask for the active cooperation and participation of all civil defense members.”
