The Yeongdeok-gun Youth Counseling and Welfare Center in Gyeongbuk held a meeting with the School Support Group (peer counseling guidance teachers) on March 30 at Naeyeonsan Healing Forest.
The School Support Group consists of about 20 counseling teachers from elementary, middle, and high schools within Yeongdeok-gun, aiming to facilitate early detection and support for high-risk youth and to prevent youth violence through mutual cooperation with schools at all levels.
During the meeting, they discussed plans to link projects of the Yeongdeok-gun Youth Counseling and Welfare Center and establish a psychological and emotional support system for high-risk youth. To prevent burnout among the teacher support group, they also experienced forest healing and 'Singing Bowl Meditation.'
Um Jae-hee, director of the Yeongdeok-gun Youth Counseling and Welfare Center, said, “We will actively support the revitalization of the School Support Group operation to provide customized support tailored to the needs of local youth.”
