Pick up, pick up, and pick up again GO!
New employees of Air Busan also joined the project to support the bid for the Busan World Expo.
Air Busan (CEO An Byeong-seok) announced on the 2nd that it conducted an environmental cleanup volunteer activity called "plogging" at Gwangalli Beach on the 31st of last month, ahead of the visit of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) inspection team to Busan.
Plogging is an activity combining "environment + health care," which involves jogging while picking up trash.
New employees of Air Busan are participating in a plogging activity at Gwangalli Beach on March 31, hoping for the successful bid of the 2030 Busan World Expo.
New Air Busan employees who joined last month participated in the volunteer activity, collecting litter scattered around Gwangalli Beach and promoting the bid for the 2030 World Expo in Busan.
Participants picked up trash scattered throughout the beach, sorted it, and disposed of it in collection bins.
Employee Jeon Han-gyeol said, "I feel proud to participate in cleaning one of Busan’s representative tourist spots and to contribute to showing the BIE inspection team a beautiful and clean Busan."
Since its establishment, Air Busan has carried out volunteer activities within the local community to accompany regional development. The volunteer group "Blue Angel," composed of in-house cabin crew, regularly conducts volunteer activities, including blood donations, removal of invasive plants in the Nakdong River ecosystem, and CPR training, carrying out diverse and comprehensive volunteer work.
An Air Busan official said, "It was a meaningful event as we took the lead in environmental protection activities and could actively support the bid for the 2030 Busan World Expo."
