Kim Joo-hyung was selected as a participant in the Masters press conference held at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, USA, at 11:30 PM on the 4th. The tournament will take place over four days starting from the 6th.
The official pre-tournament press conference of the Masters, known as the 'Battle of the Masters,' usually features top contenders, players at the center of attention, and the previous year's champion. On the 3rd, press conferences are scheduled for Jason Day (Australia), Jordan Spieth (USA), and Cameron Smith (Australia). On the 4th, well-known players such as Woods, Kim Joo-hyung, Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), Jon Rahm (Spain), Justin Thomas (USA), Matt Fitzpatrick (England), Max Homa, Scottie Scheffler, and Patrick Cantlay (all USA) will appear.
Kim Joo-hyung's interview is scheduled 30 minutes before Woods' on that day. Although he has yet to win a major tournament, he has gained attention as a rising star on the PGA Tour by winning the Wyndham Championship and the Shriners Children's Open last year, which likely earned him a spot on the press conference roster.
Woods has not officially confirmed his participation in this year's Masters yet, but his name appearing on the press conference schedule increases the likelihood of his participation. Woods has previously won the Masters five times, in 1997, 2001, 2002, 2005, and 2019.
