If You Find a Household in Crisis, Please Report It to 'Songpa Hope Talk'

Songpa-gu to Operate Online Welfare Consultation Window ‘Songpa Hope Talk’ for Reporting Neighbors in Need Starting April 7

Easy Non-Face-to-Face Reporting and Timely Welfare Information Provided by Adding KakaoTalk Plus Friend

Songpa-gu (Mayor Seo Gang-seok) will officially operate the KakaoTalk channel ‘Songpa Hope Talk’ starting April 7 to discover households in crisis that need help and provide various welfare information.

‘Songpa Hope Talk’ is an online welfare consultation window where neighbors can report households in crisis facing various difficulties. Moving away from the traditional face-to-face and phone reporting methods, it allows easy and convenient non-face-to-face reporting or welfare consultation anytime and anywhere.

To report a household in crisis, search for ‘Songpa Hope Talk’ on KakaoTalk Plus Friend, add it as a friend, and then enter the personal information and crisis situation of the subject through one-on-one chat consultation. The relevant department will conduct on-site visits and in-depth consultations based on the received information to provide customized welfare services.

If You Find a Household in Crisis, Please Report It to 'Songpa Hope Talk' Seokangseok, Mayor of Songpa District

The consultation operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays, and after business hours, responses will be provided the next day.

The district plans to encourage the use of ‘Songpa Hope Talk’ mainly among welfare account holders, honorary social welfare officers, and local care groups who can easily discover welfare blind spots, and will expand publicity to residents and workers closely connected to daily life to build a dense welfare system.

Additionally, the district is making multifaceted efforts to minimize welfare blind spots by cooperating with SKT to provide an ‘AI Check-in Service’ where AI makes automatic calls once a week to check on residents, and a ‘Smart Plug Installation Project’ that installs smart plugs inside the homes of vulnerable groups to monitor safety in real time through lighting and electricity usage.

Seo Gang-seok, Mayor of Songpa-gu, said, “We ask for active use of ‘Songpa Hope Talk’ so that neighbors in need can receive help through warm reports from the community,” and added, “Songpa-gu will build a detailed welfare safety net and create an inclusive welfare city that walks together with socially vulnerable groups.”
