"Learning Has No End!" ... Daehan Senior Citizens Association Yeongyang-gun Branch Affiliated Senior University Entrance Ceremony Held

The Gyeongbuk Yeongyang County Branch of the Korea Senior Citizens Association (President An Jaebeom) held the 38th Senior University (Dean Park Seonggil) entrance ceremony on the 31st at the Yeongyang County Comprehensive Welfare Center auditorium.

At the entrance ceremony, 48 senior university freshmen and guests both internal and external attended, and prior to the ceremony, the Yeongyang Shinbaram Sound Club performed a saxophone recital, followed by a promotional event for attracting the Yangsu Power Plant to Yeongyang.

This year, 48 students (6 men and 42 women) enrolled in the Senior University. Starting from the entrance ceremony, the program will run through October with a total of 24 sessions, featuring various programs such as special lectures by invited experts, humanities courses, yoga, and singing classes.

In his congratulatory speech, County Council Chairman Kim Seokhyun said, “Your passion for learning serves as a great example to many young people,” and added, “I hope the Senior University fosters friendship and harmony and becomes a foundation for regional development.”

Celebrating its 38th term this year, the Senior University affiliated with the Korea Senior Citizens Association Yeongyang County Branch was established in 1984 and has produced over 1,850 graduates, establishing itself as a representative lifelong education hub in our region.
