Emart Celebrates 30th Anniversary with 'Children's Shopping Event'

Starting with 4 locations, expanding in the second half

Emart announced on the 2nd that it will hold a 'Children's Shopping Event' to celebrate its 30th anniversary.

This event targets kids customers aged 6 to 8 who can attend separate classes. It will be held at four stores: Emart Cheonggyecheon Branch on the 8th, Seosuwon Branch on the 15th, Chuncheon Branch on the 29th, and Pohang Idong Branch on the 30th. After a pilot operation this month, it plans to expand further in the second half of the year.

Applications can currently be made by visiting the Culture Club (Cultural Center) in each store or through the Culture Club website, with 12 customers per store accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants will experience the entire process of selecting products and making payments by themselves at the Emart grocery store, learning basic economic concepts within the mart space, then move to the cooking studio inside the Culture Club to make and eat pizza with a professional instructor. After the program ends, participants will receive gifts such as an apron, hat, and arm sleeves commemorating Emart's 30th anniversary.

Since February, Emart has been holding various customer participation events to expand contact points with customers outside the stores. Notably, it conducted the 'Listen to My e-Story' event through its official Instagram, collecting fun and touching stories related to Emart from customers, which attracted high participation with over 700 customers. Six final selected stories can be heard while shopping nationwide through the voice of singer Lee Seok-hoon.

An Emart official said, "To commemorate the 30th anniversary, Emart is launching various customer events and diverse projects for future customers, the children," adding, "We will actively communicate with customers outside the stores and strive to be recognized as a fun place enjoyed by people of all ages."
