Gwangyang City Tour April Courses Diverse

Historical Courses, Night View Courses, Garden Expo, etc.

Group Tours for 15 People and Private Tours for Desired Courses Also Available

Jeonnam Gwangyang City has announced the April courses for the Gwangyang City Tour, a daytime and nighttime tour that shines, traveling through every corner of Gwangyang with cultural tourism guides.


The city plans to operate a variety of courses that allow visitors to comfortably enjoy representative tourist sites according to their preferences, including the History Course (Wednesday), Night View Course (Friday), and a course linked to the Suncheon International Garden Expo.

Additionally, for groups of 15 or more who meet the requirements of visiting at least four tourist sites and having one meal, a group course is available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, allowing for a private tour with a flexible itinerary.


The Wednesday History Course departs from Suncheon Station (10:10 AM) and Gwangyang-eup Terminal (10:45 AM). The tour includes visits to the Jeonnam Provincial Museum of Art and Gwangyang Art Warehouse, followed by lunch at the Gwangyang Bulgogi Specialty Street and a romantic stroll in Inseori Park.


Next, participants explore the Gwangyang History and Culture Center, Gwangyang Jangdo Museum, and Gwangyang Gungsi Training Center, returning via Gwangyang-eup Terminal (5:05 PM) and arriving at Suncheon Station (5:40 PM).


The Friday Night View Course departs from Suncheon Station (3:20 PM) and Gwangyang-eup Terminal (3:55 PM), touring the Jeonnam Provincial Museum of Art and Gwangyang Art Warehouse, followed by dinner at Gwangyang Bulgogi Specialty Street.


Then, participants enjoy the beautiful night views from Gubongsan Observatory, Yi Sun-sin Bridge, and Haeoreum Overpass, returning via Gwangyang-eup Terminal (9:25 PM) and concluding at Suncheon Station (10:00 PM).


The Saturday course departs from Suncheon Station (10:10 AM) and Gwangyang-eup Terminal (10:45 AM), visiting the Jeonnam Provincial Museum of Art and Gwangyang Art Warehouse, followed by lunch at Bulgogi Specialty Street.


Afterward, the tour continues to Baegunsan Natural Recreation Forest, Gwangyang History and Culture Center, and Gubongsan Observatory, returning via Gwangyang-eup Terminal (5:50 PM) and arriving at Suncheon Station (6:25 PM).


The Sunday course departs from Suncheon Station (10:10 AM) and Jungma Tourist Information Center (10:55 AM), touring Baealdo Island Garden, the preserved house of Jeong Byeong-wook, who safeguarded the unpublished works of Yun Dong-ju, and the Gwangyang Kim Si-sik site, followed by lunch at Yi Sun-sin Bridge Food Town.


Then, participants tour Yi Sun-sin Bridge, Haeoreum Overpass, and Gubongsan Observatory, returning via Jungma Tourist Information Center (5:15 PM) and arriving at Suncheon Station (6:00 PM).


The Suncheon International Garden Expo linked course allows visitors to enjoy Baegunsan area and Gwangyang-eup area on Saturdays, and Mangdeok Port and downtown night views on Sundays. However, this course is not available if there are prior reservations for the regular courses.


The Saturday course departs from the Suncheon International Garden Expo site (12:00 PM), enjoys lunch at Bulgogi Specialty Street, and tours the Okryongsa Camellia Forest.


Then, participants visit Inseori Park, Gwangyang History and Culture Center, Jeonnam Provincial Museum of Art, and Gwangyang Art Warehouse, returning to the Garden Expo site (6:10 PM).


The Sunday course departs from the Suncheon International Garden Expo site (2:00 PM), touring Baealdo Island Garden, the preserved house of Jeong Byeong-wook, and the Gwangyang Kim Si-sik site.


Afterward, participants enjoy dinner at Yi Sun-sin Bridge Food Town, then admire the night views unique to Gwangyang Bay, including Yi Sun-sin Bridge and Sunshine Beach Park, concluding the tour at the Garden Expo site (9:10 PM).


To participate in the Gwangyang City Tour, reservations must be made at least three days in advance, and the tour operates only when there are seven or more reservations.


However, group reservations must be made at least seven days in advance.


The fees are 5,000 KRW for general admission, 4,000 KRW for military personnel, seniors, and students, and 3,000 KRW for persons with disabilities and preschool children. Entrance fees, travel insurance, and meal costs are separate.
