Vietnam, Cambodia, China, and Other Countries Targeting Marriage Immigrants
The Family Center of Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Lee Sang-cheol) announced that the multicultural instructor training, which was held 17 times from February 2 to March 30, has been successfully completed.
This multicultural instructor training was conducted for marriage immigrants from three countries: Vietnam, Cambodia, and China.
Through computer education, participants were equipped with basic skills to create educational materials, and in theoretical classes, they were guided to build foundational knowledge such as understanding multiculturalism and cultural education.
Additionally, practical activities provided opportunities to improve the use of teaching aids and learning materials, as well as presentation skills.
In the final session, each participant presented multicultural understanding education by country using the knowledge they had acquired, and the training concluded with a completion ceremony.
A Gokseong-gun official stated, “Through the multicultural instructor training, participants’ understanding and sensitivity toward multiculturalism have improved, and we will continue to develop various programs that enable marriage immigrants to acquire professional competencies.”
The Gokseong-gun Family Center is making significant efforts to improve multicultural understanding and awareness through programs such as multicultural understanding classes at daycare centers and the marriage immigrant Daieum project. In particular, requests for educational support such as multicultural understanding classes for students at schools are increasing, making it necessary to respond accordingly.
Therefore, since 2020, the Gokseong-gun Family Center has been continuously conducting multicultural instructor training to provide systematic education and enhance the effectiveness of multicultural understanding education.
