NC, 'Puzzle and Brawl-type Action'... Unveils New Titles Never Seen Before

NCSoft will lead this year with three key themes: 'communication,' 'new IP,' and 'diversity.' They will develop games reflecting user feedback and expand their lineup, which has been focused on MMORPGs, with a variety of new titles.

On the 14th and 15th, NCSoft revealed gameplay footage and development process videos of their new title, 'Project G.' ‘Project G’ is NCSoft’s first real-time strategy (RTS) game. The gameplay footage showcased ▲high-quality graphics implemented using the Unreal Engine ▲various unique races and characters ▲combat styles utilizing melee and ranged units ▲‘dragons’ and ‘strategic weapons’ used in object capture and territorial competition ▲war scenes expanding from individual battles to large-scale group conflicts, revealing detailed content of ‘Project G.’

Seominseok, the lead director of ‘Project G,’ emphasized, "We are applying NCSoft’s strength in MMO-based large-scale war technology to the RTS genre to develop a scale and quality never experienced in other strategy games." He also expressed his commitment to incorporating diverse user comments into the development process.

NCSoft is diversifying genres by introducing new titles ‘PUZZUP: AMITOI’ and ‘Battle Crush.’ PUZZUP is a casual puzzle game targeting the global puzzle game market. It uses the popular mechanic of matching three or more blocks to solve puzzles, with a global release planned within the year.

Battle Crush is NCSoft’s first new game in the brawl-style action genre. It features battles with up to 30 players aiming to be the last one standing. The game is characterized by casual combat, simple controls, and unpredictable brawls.

Kang Hyungseok, the lead developer of Battle Crush at NCSoft, said, “It is a title that faithfully captures the fun elements of combat games such as exciting action, cute characters, and party play that anyone can easily enjoy.” He added, “We plan to launch it so that global users can enjoy Battle Crush’s unique combat on various devices and platforms.”
