Paseco announced on the 31st that it has launched two types of 5th generation window air conditioners that can be self-installed: the 'Premium 2' and the 'Premium Mini,' which can be installed even on small windows.
Both products feature the ‘Easy Lock System,’ which allows secure fastening by hand without tools like screwdrivers, and the ‘Easy Fit System,’ enabling simple installation even on large living room or master bedroom windows. Paseco explains that they can be self-installed anywhere within one minute.
Last year, Paseco introduced a product that reduced the number of bolts requiring tightening with a screwdriver from nine to one, enabling installation in five minutes. This year, they implemented the ‘Easy Lock System,’ a one-touch fastening method that eliminates even that single bolt. This technology is currently patent-pending. As with previous models, installation is possible on all sliding windows regardless of the window frame’s material or thickness. When additional kits are needed for large windows like those in living rooms, assembly can be completed in just a few seconds by turning a lever through the Easy Fit System.
The 'Paseco Window Air Conditioner Premium 2' boasts a cooling capacity of 2600W and covers an area of 6.5 pyeong (approximately 21.5 square meters), making it suitable for most spaces such as living rooms and master bedrooms.
In addition to installation convenience, user-friendliness has been maximized to satisfy a wide range of consumers. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies have been applied. The air conditioner detects indoor and outdoor humidity using AI technology and automatically adjusts drying time. It also features IoT-enabled ‘Room Care Service’ and ‘Temperature Alert Service.’ For example, the air conditioner can automatically operate when the room temperature exceeds 27 degrees Celsius or at a specific time. Settings can be freely controlled even from outside the home.
Paseco’s unique self-evaporation system has also been upgraded. The condensation evaporation capacity, a chronic weakness of window air conditioners, has been improved by more than 30%, allowing self-evaporation of 2.8 liters of condensation per hour. This enables worry-free use during the rainy season, with a maximum dehumidification capacity of up to 32.3 liters per day.
Cooling efficiency has been maximized as well. Operating for 7.8 hours a day costs about 800 won on average. Noise has been reduced to 34.3 dB in sleep mode, comparable to a quiet library. Paseco has established a noise testing lab dedicated to window air conditioners and improved the fan motor structure. Additionally, it offers modes such as cooling, turbo, dehumidification, ventilation, sleep, and cave wind, with wind strength adjustable in finer increments from the previous 5 levels to 9 levels.
For the Premium Mini window air conditioner, installation is possible anywhere if the window height is at least 77 cm. While emphasizing a minimal design, the installable window height range has been expanded from 77 cm up to a maximum of 246 cm.
A Paseco representative stated, “We have released an innovative new product that consolidates all our technology by listening to consumers and leveraging the know-how gained from selling 350,000 window air conditioners. Having resolved the limitations previously pointed out for window air conditioners, we believe this product will be recognized as a full-fledged air conditioner rather than just a second air conditioner.”
