Kim Hyun-ki, Chairperson of the Seoul Metropolitan Council, newly appointed members to the 10th Seoul Metropolitan Council Contract Transparency Deliberation Committee on the 30th.
The Seoul Metropolitan Council Contract Transparency Deliberation Committee is an advisory body that reviews matters related to bid participation qualifications, contract signing methods, and bidder selection methods for projects commissioned by the Council Secretariat.
Since 2015, the Seoul Metropolitan Council has enacted the Ordinance on the Establishment and Operation of the Seoul Metropolitan Council Contract Transparency Deliberation Committee and has been striving to ensure transparency and fairness in contract procedures through the committee's advisory role.
The committee consists of a total of nine members, including one ex officio member. The newly appointed members are Councilor Lee Sae-nal, Councilor Lee Hyo-won, Councilor Lee So-ra, five external members, and the Director of the Seoul Metropolitan Government Finance Bureau. The term of office is two years.
Chairperson Kim Hyun-ki stated, “The Seoul Metropolitan Council, which monitors and checks the executive agency, operates the Contract Transparency Deliberation Committee to meticulously oversee projects commissioned by the Council from the beginning to set an example,” and added, “I expect the members to play a significant role in ensuring that the Seoul Metropolitan Council is recognized as a transparent institution.”
