Invitation by the Canadian Embassy in Korea and Grain Association
at the 'Double Chewy Bagel' Experience Visit Event
SPC bakery brand Paris Baguette announced on the 30th that it held an experiential visit event by inviting the Charg? d'Affaires of the Canadian Embassy in Korea and related officials to showcase the 'Twice Chewy Bagel' made with high-quality Canadian wheat.
Paris Baguette stated, "We prepared an opportunity to present the Twice Chewy Bagel, developed through our own technology and research, to the Canadian Embassy and officials, as Canada is known as the birthplace of bagels." Montreal, Canada, along with New York, USA, is considered one of the two major cities famous for bagels.

The event held at Paris Baguette Gangnam Seocho Branch in Seocho-gu, Seoul, was attended by Tamara Mohyani, Charg? d'Affaires of the Canadian Embassy in Korea, Dean Dias, Chairman of the Canadian Grain Commission, and Heo Jin-soo, President of SPC.
The delegation from the Canadian Embassy in Korea tasted five types of Paris Baguette’s Twice Chewy Bagels and five types of cream cheese that pair well with bagels. They received explanations about the product development process, customer responses, and the use of Canadian ingredients. The Canadian wheat used in the Twice Chewy Bagel is characterized by its sustainable production methods and excellent quality when used in baking.
Tamara Mohyani, Charg? d'Affaires of the Canadian Embassy in Korea, said, "Bagels are a bread enjoyed by Canadians, and I was impressed by Paris Baguette’s technology that captures the unique chewy texture and flavor well." She added, "Recently, Paris Baguette opened its first store in Canada, and with the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Canada this year, I hope this will be an important opportunity to strengthen our relationship even further."
Heo Jin-soo, President of SPC, said, "We are pleased to showcase Paris Baguette’s products and technology to the Canadian Embassy and the Canadian Grain Commission officials." He added, "We will continue relentless research, development, and investment in taste and quality to become a brand loved not only domestically but also in the global market."
Meanwhile, the Twice Chewy Bagel, launched by Paris Baguette in February, has gained popularity, selling over 2 million units within a month of its release.
