The 'Metropolitan Seoul Love Gift Certificate,' which can be used in all 25 autonomous districts of Seoul, will be sold at a 7% discount starting from 10 a.m. on the 30th.

This means you can buy a 100,000 won gift certificate for 93,000 won.

Unlike local love gift certificates that can only be used in the issuing district, the Metropolitan Seoul Love Gift Certificate can be used in all autonomous districts of Seoul. The total issuance scale this time is 25 billion won.

The usage period is 5 years from the date of purchase. If more than 60% of the amount is used, the remaining balance can be refunded. 'Gifting' is also freely available within the holding limit.

It can be purchased through five apps: SeoulPay+ (PayPlus), ShinhanSOL (SOL), T-money Pay, Moneytree, and Shinhan pLay (Play). The purchase limit per person is 500,000 won per month, and the holding limit is 1,000,000 won.

The city has divided purchase times based on birth year (the second digit of the resident registration number) to prevent a surge of users at once: odd numbers can buy from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and even numbers from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

If there is remaining stock after 6 p.m., anyone can purchase regardless of their resident registration number.

To ensure stable system operation on the day of issuance, the 'Find Merchant' and 'Gift Certificate Gifting' functions on Seoul PayPlus will be temporarily suspended.

Park Jaeyong, Seoul City’s Labor, Fairness, and Coexistence Policy Officer, said, "We hope the Metropolitan Seoul Love Gift Certificate will help revive local neighborhoods and commercial districts affected by high inflation and high interest rates, and reduce the burden of grocery prices."
