The Emergency Rescue Control Team drill simulates actual disaster situations, overseeing and controlling emergency and rescue activities carried out by emergency rescue agencies and support organizations.

The drill assumed a disaster occurring amid a large crowd of visitors and assigned situation-specific messages applicable on-site to secure a rapid response system tailored to the disaster situation.

The training focused on activating the Emergency Rescue Control Team, establishing an integrated command system at the disaster site, cultivating the ability to operate the on-site command bus, and mastering the mass casualty management system.

In particular, after setting up the control team on-site, the drill included disaster situation assessment meetings, disaster situation report preparation, and press briefings. After the drill, participants discussed shortcomings and areas for improvement to establish a robust disaster response system.

Jung Gang-ok, Head of the Rescue and Emergency Medical Division, stated, “In unpredictable and diverse disaster scenes, we will conduct training tailored to each characteristic to minimize loss of life and property for residents in the event of an actual disaster.”
