Ticket Purchases and Donation Contributions Continue Ahead of Opening Ceremony
Ahead of the opening of the 2023 Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo on April 1, ticket purchases and donations have surged from corporations, welfare organizations, and social groups, pushing ticket reservation amounts beyond 6 billion KRW.
On the 27th, the Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo Organizing Committee (Chairman Noh Kwan-gyu, Mayor of Suncheon) announced that a ticket purchase certificate and donation ceremony was held with 11 companies and organizations in the small conference room of the Suncheon Bay International Wetland Center.
The organizations that received ticket purchase certificates that day included: Suncheon City Daycare Center Association (100 million KRW), Haewon MSC Co., Ltd. (13.28 million KRW), Suncheon City Social Welfare Council (12 million KRW), Juam Industrial Complex Council (10 million KRW), Bohung Co., Ltd. (5 million KRW), Hyunmyung Co., Ltd. (5 million KRW), Dongshim 7070 members (4.2 million KRW), and Suncheon City Academy Association (2.05 million KRW), demonstrating their commitment to participating in the expo through ticket purchases.
Additionally, donations of money and goods were made: Imac Solution Co., Ltd. (20 million KRW), Hana Uniform (120 uniforms), My Good Space Co., Ltd. (1 million KRW), Orowell Co., Ltd. (6 Orowell items), and Han Jong-geun of Yonhap News TV Gwangju Jeonnam Advertising Agency (500,000 KRW) contributed to the expo organizing committee, showing their support for the event.
At the Garden Room of the International Wetland Center, KBC Gwangju Broadcasting, a private broadcaster representing Honam (CEO Lim Chae-young), delivered a ticket purchase certificate (20 million KRW) to Chairman Noh Kwan-gyu, Mayor of Suncheon and head of the expo organizing committee, pledging active promotion and coverage along with visits by KBC Gwangju Broadcasting executives and staff to the expo site.
Chairman Noh Kwan-gyu (Mayor of Suncheon) expressed, “Despite difficult economic conditions, I deeply appreciate the passionate interest and support for the 2023 Garden Expo,” adding, “Through the success of this garden expo, we will showcase the standard of a garden city and position Suncheon as the hub and center of the South Sea Belt.”
The 2023 Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo will be held from April 1 to October 31 at Suncheon Bay National Garden, Suncheon Bay Wetland, and various locations throughout the city. Tickets can be purchased online via Interpark (Ticket), Yanolja, Naver websites and dedicated apps, as well as at NH Nonghyup and Gwangju Bank branches.
