Presentation of Growth Engine Blueprint at 13th Shareholders' Meeting
Appointment of Former National Assembly Secretary-General Kim Young-chun as Outside Director
AI specialist company Raonpeople announced at its shareholders' meeting that it is expanding into an AI platform company and promoting new businesses such as AI-based secondary battery inspection and used battery recycling.
On the 29th, Raonpeople held its 13th shareholders' meeting in the main conference room of its headquarters and appointed former National Assembly Secretary-General Kim Young-chun and former Financial Supervisory Service Chairman Choi Soo-hyun as outside director and auditor, respectively. Key agenda items such as cash dividends to enhance shareholder value, approval of financial statements with performance increasing by more than 30% for three consecutive years, were resolved.
In a business report on major projects, CEO Lee Seok-jung stated, "With the acceleration of the AI solution business, we have secured developers from Coupang and laid the foundation for the AI platform business," and presented a blueprint saying, "Starting this year, we will actively promote the AI platform business that integrates major projects into a single platform."
He added, "Last year, we established a specialized task force related to secondary batteries," and said, "We will focus our capabilities on developing inspection solutions that can be applied in a one-stop manner from data acquisition to utilization in the AI inspection business." CEO Lee also mentioned, "We are fully committed to new growth engine businesses by reviewing diversified business directions, from secondary battery materials to used battery utilization."
At the shareholders' meeting, Raonpeople appointed former National Assembly Secretary-General Kim Young-chun as an outside director and newly appointed former Financial Supervisory Service Chairman Choi Soo-hyun as auditor. By placing these influential figures at the forefront, the company plans to promote government-related projects such as new AI businesses, smart farms, and smart transportation, as well as global businesses.
