Publisher Influential announced on the 29th that it has launched a children's book brand called 'Booksground.' 'Booksground' carries the meaning of being 'a playground of books where children dream of worlds and always want to stay.'
The first book series introduced is the 'Alien Cat Claude' series. Co-written by Jonny Marciano and Emily Chenoweth, it is a sci-fi fairy tale about Claude, the cat emperor exiled from an alien planet to Earth, and Raji, a human boy who has long wished to raise a cat. Following the release of 'Alien Cat Claude Volume 1: The Exiled Emperor' on the 28th, the second volume is scheduled to be published in June. In addition, Booksground plans to release a total of eight books this year, including picture fairy tales and children's nonfiction.
Moon Taejin, CEO of Influential, stated, “Although the children's book field is already filled with many prestigious publishers, we aim to nurture children's imagination and support healthy growth with books that carry Booksground's unique identity.”
