Jeju Western Fire Station Conducts Ship Fire Response Drill at Moseulpo Port

Jeju Western Fire Station (Chief Kim Young-ho) announced on the 29th that it conducted a joint ship fire response capability enhancement training with related organizations around Moseulpo Port, Daejeong-eup on the 28th.


The training was carried out jointly with officials from related organizations such as Seogwipo Hwasun Maritime Police Substation, Daejeong-eup, Moseulpo Fisheries Cooperative, and Moseulpo Boat Owners Association.

The training included autonomous firefighting team initial response training using emergency fire extinguishing devices, maritime water spraying training using powered fire pumps on the Coast Guard coastal rescue boat, and water spraying training using fire truck suction hoses, conducted as partial step-by-step training according to each organization's mission and role.


Chief Kim Young-ho said, "To minimize ship fire damage, we will continue to establish a ship fire suppression response system through close cooperation among related organizations."
