Hyojun Cho, Chairman of Hyosung, Receives 'Korea CEO Award'

Korean Academic Society of Business Administration "Hyosung Contributes to Global Growth and Future Value Enhancement"

Cho Hyun-joon, Chairman of Hyosung, received the CEO Award presented by the Korean Academic Society of Business Administration.

On the 28th, Chairman Cho was awarded the grand prize at the 38th 2023 Korea CEO Awards ceremony hosted by the Korean Academic Society of Business Administration. He stated, "We will surely practice customer-immersive management that pursues not only customer satisfaction but also customer happiness, becoming a company trusted by our customers."

The Korea CEO Award has been presented since 1987 by the Business Administration Society to entrepreneurs who have devotedly contributed to economic growth through progressive entrepreneurship and outstanding management capabilities.

The CEO Award Selection Committee unanimously chose Chairman Cho as this year’s recipient. Chairman Cho was recognized for contributing to Hyosung’s growth as a global company by establishing a global production network and leading world No.1 products such as spandex and tire cords, as well as for enhancing future growth value through building a hydrogen industry foundation, developing advanced new materials, and expanding eco-friendly businesses.

It was also explained that Chairman Cho was selected as the awardee for revitalizing the fundamental purpose of corporate management in the industry through 'customer-immersive management' that prioritizes customers, leading corporate ESG (environmental, social, and governance) management, and contributing to Korea’s economic growth as a top-level executive.

Chairman Cho said, "Our founder, Chairman Man-woo Cho Hong-je, and my father, Honorary Chairman Cho Seok-rae, instilled three important management principles in me from a young age," introducing them as "securing trust with customers, constantly striving to be world No.1, and ceaselessly working on in-house technology development."

He continued, "I have developed a conviction to listen to customers’ voices and create a company that contributes to the nation and society by producing many world-class products," adding, "I will do my best to secure a technological super-gap and strengthen future growth momentum by dedicating myself even more to technology development."
