CJ Logistics Japan Corporation is accelerating the expansion of its global logistics territory by simultaneously obtaining international standard certifications in three areas: quality, environment, and occupational health and safety.
On the 29th, CJ Logistics announced that its Japan Corporation had simultaneously acquired ‘ISO9001 (Quality Management System)’, ‘ISO14001 (Environmental Management System)’, and ‘ISO45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System)’ certifications from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
ISO certification is an international standard certification awarded by the International Organization for Standardization. The ISO establishes reasonable management policies and objectives that comply with international standards related to quality, environment, and occupational health and safety. To realize this, it comprehensively evaluates companies that have established an organized management system and grants certification.
CJ Logistics Japan Corporation is the first Korean logistics company operating in Japan to receive ISO certification. In particular, since this certification proves that it can meet the high-level guidelines required by multinational corporations, it is expected to greatly assist in the future expansion of logistics business.

Going forward, CJ Logistics Japan Corporation plans to obtain the ‘AEO (Authorized Economic Operator)’ certification, which is awarded to companies excelling in export-import safety management, by continuously strengthening the safety and reliability of its logistics services.
CJ Logistics first entered the Japanese market in 1972 by opening a Tokyo office. The Japan Corporation was established in 2006. Currently, headquartered in Tokyo, it provides optimized one-stop logistics solutions based on core businesses such as ocean and air forwarding, project logistics, contract logistics, and cross-border e-commerce.
Lee Bong-kyung, head of CJ Logistics Japan Corporation, said, “We are the first Korean logistics company in Japan to receive three certifications at once covering quality, environment, and occupational health and safety management. As more clients demand logistics services that meet global standards, we will continue our efforts to satisfy these needs.”
Meanwhile, CJ Logistics provides comprehensive logistics services to Korean companies operating abroad as well as multinational corporations by leveraging its global network of 249 bases in 36 countries worldwide. Most recently, it opened an office in Wrocław, Poland, to target the European logistics market.
