Hancom Inc. Applies Naver's Ultra-Large AI to Hancom Office

Hancom is targeting the education and public sectors with Hancom Office equipped with large-scale artificial intelligence (AI) in collaboration with Naver Cloud.

Hancom and Naver Cloud announced on the 29th that they have signed a strategic partnership to apply Naver Cloud's large-scale AI 'HyperCLOVA X' to Hancom Office supplied to the education and public sectors.

According to this agreement, Naver Cloud will apply HyperCLOVA X, scheduled to be unveiled in July, to Hancom Office. They plan to advance the functions of Hancom Office tailored to the specialized needs of schools, research institutes, and other public institutions. To this end, the two companies will form a consultative body to jointly develop customized AI features and proceed with commercialization through information exchange and close cooperation.

Naver Cloud's HyperCLOVA X consists of over 97% Korean language data among its training data. It enables natural Korean expressions through data from Naver News, blogs, and other sources.

Jin Seongsik, Head of Hancom's Business Division, said, "Starting with cooperation in the education and public sectors, we will continue comprehensive collaboration to build specialized AI services required in various fields such as enterprises and finance," adding, "We will advance AI technology so that Hancom Office can become the next-generation document platform that enhances users' experience by applying large-scale AI technology."
