Up to 14.3 Million KRW Support for Passenger Cars, 19.5 Million KRW for Cargo Vehicles
Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will support a total of 42 vehicles in the first round of 2023 to expand the supply of eco-friendly vehicles, including 27 electric passenger cars and 15 electric cargo trucks.
The eligibility criteria for private electric vehicle supply support require applicants to be residents of Gurye-gun for at least three consecutive months as of the application submission date and be at least 18 years old. Corporations or institutions located in Gurye-gun can also receive subsidies.
Among the 27 electric passenger cars, 2 will be supported for vulnerable groups and multi-child families, 2 for taxis, and 23 for general applicants. The purchase subsidy for passenger cars varies by model, ranging from a minimum of 4.22 million KRW to a maximum of 14.3 million KRW.
For the 15 electric cargo trucks, 1 will be supported for vulnerable groups and multi-child families, 3 for delivery and transportation businesses, 1 for small and medium-sized enterprise products, and 10 for general applicants. The purchase subsidy for cargo trucks varies by model, ranging from a minimum of 7.1 million KRW to a maximum of 22.1 million KRW.
The county receives applications through car dealerships via the 'Zero Emission Vehicle Purchase Subsidy Support System (ev.or.kr)' and selects recipients based on the order of vehicle delivery and registration.
County Governor Kim Soon-ho said, "As interest and demand for electric vehicles increase, we plan to expand the electric vehicle charging infrastructure accordingly," adding, "We ask for the active participation of all residents to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and achieve carbon neutrality."
