Im Dong-hyun, Vice Chairman of the Muan County Council in Jeollanam-do (left in the photo), and Lee Ho-seong, a council member (right in the photo), are staging a head-shaving protest at 2 p.m. on the 28th at the plaza in front of the Jeollanam-do Provincial Office. They demanded an immediate apology to the 1.9 million residents of Jeollanam-do and the citizens of Muan for Governor Kim Young-rok's statement in an interview with the media, saying, "According to public opinion polls of the residents, there is strong support for relocating the Gwangju military airport to Muan, so the issue of relocating the military airport must be resolved quickly to revitalize Muan International Airport." They also declared that if their demand is not met, they will strongly condemn the governor in solidarity with other regions.
