According to the news agency, Chairman Kim emphasized, "In the work of thoroughly establishing the response posture of our nuclear forces, we must never be satisfied and must continue efforts to constantly strengthen nuclear capabilities," and stressed, "Only when unimaginably powerful and superior nuclear forces are equipped with an offensive posture will the enemy fear us and dare not touch our sovereignty, system, and people."

He continued, "To thoroughly implement the Party Central Committee's plan to exponentially increase the number of nuclear weapons in the Nuclear Weapons Research Institute and the atomic energy sector, we must prospectively expand the production of weapons-grade nuclear material and accelerate the production of continuously powerful nuclear weapons."

On this day, the guidance on the nuclear weaponization project was attended by Hong Seung-mu, First Deputy Director of the Party Central Committee and the 'chief of nuclear development,' along with officials from the Military Industry Department, the Nuclear Weapons Research Institute, and the Missile General Bureau.
