Kim Ki-hyun "Blames Police Officer After Robbery Exposed"
Joo Ho-young Criticizes "Shameless, Destructive Acts Against Parliament"
On the 27th, the People Power Party strongly criticized the Democratic Party of Korea for pulling out the impeachment card against Minister of Justice Han Dong-hoon after the Constitutional Court ruled that the 'complete removal of prosecution investigation rights (Geomsu Wanbak)' law is not invalid.
Kim Ki-hyun, leader of the People Power Party, said at the Supreme Council meeting held that day, "Looking at the recent behavior of the Democratic Party, it seems they believe that the Yoon Seok-yeol administration must fail and the people's livelihood must worsen for the election to be advantageous," adding, "They not only push through populist bills that are expected to be vetoed but also frequently attempt impeachment motions against the president and ministers."
Kim said, "An arrogant regime that was confident of a hundred years of power, when driven out, only thinks about shaking a government less than a year old by talking about impeachment," and criticized, "They forcibly passed a motion to dismiss the Minister of Foreign Affairs in September with absurd reasons, pushed for an impeachment motion against the Minister of the Interior and Safety leading to suspension of the minister in charge of safety, and now talk about impeaching the Minister of Justice. When their robbery is exposed, they try to hold the police responsible."

He continued, "The real target for impeachment should be the Constitutional Court justices who have degraded into shallow legal technicians unworthy of their position, abandoning their conscience, deceiving the people with their words, and pandering to power in the Minwoo-guk cartel," he pointed out.
Joo Ho-young, floor leader, also criticized, saying, "The Constitutional Court ruled that the disguised party withdrawal and the hollowing out of the agenda adjustment committee are unconstitutional and an infringement of authority," adding, "Despite confirmation by the Constitutional Court's decision, instead of apologizing, they continue to repeat such agenda adjustments and are attempting to reinstate independent lawmaker Min Hyung-bae." He added, "There has never been such shameless and parliament-destroying behavior in the history of the Republic of Korea's constitutional government."
Joo also said, "Last week, the Democratic Party forcibly and cunningly passed the amendment to the Grain Management Act and is aggressively engaging in populist vote-buying acts ahead of the general election in April next year," adding, "They are pushing bills costing hundreds of billions to tens of trillions of won annually, such as increasing the basic pension for the elderly by 10 trillion won per year, maintaining the Moon Jae-in Care law at 5 trillion won per year, and interest-free student loans for youth at 80 billion won per year."

Kim Byung-min, Supreme Council member, said, "The Democratic Party is obsessed only with party interests, repeating the bad habit of focusing solely on political strife by talking about the impeachment of ministers that is not even feasible," adding, "The Democratic Party, which is insufficient even in making a sincere reflection on lawmaker Min Hyung-bae's cunning and disguised party withdrawal, shamelessly talks about the impeachment of a minister."
Kim raised his voice toward the Democratic Party, saying, "First, solve the issue of the party leader's position, who has become a source of public concern due to various corruptions within their own party."
Cho Soo-jin, Supreme Council member, also pointed out, "The major opposition party is pushing through populist bills through the trick of direct referral," adding, "As legislative rampages that undermine procedural legitimacy continue, with the Constitutional Court even giving them wings, the destruction of parliamentary democracy will become the norm."
